the Foothills of Yuma Arizona.
This winter has been cooler and wetter than the past several years.
The extra rain has caused more flowers to bloom and the desert is
beautiful. Just outside the park is a field of purple Desert Sand
Verbena and Desert Ajo Lilies. There are also white Dune
Primroses. The Verbena is very fragrant, especially in the early
morning and evening.
We bought an older 4 wheel drive Suzuki (Our Desert Rat) to go on desert rides in and have been enjoying seeing the desert up close.
